Carmen Fernández Fernández

Carmen Fernández is a member of the research staff of the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Granada. She studied biochemistry at the UGR and did her bachelor’s degree final project on metabolomics (2017). After that, she did a master’s degree in Chemical Sciences and Technologies while she enjoyed an initiation to research scholarship for master’s degree students (2018), working on the analytical determination and quantification of phenolic compounds in virgin olive oil matrix.
Since April 2021, she is hired as a young researcher through the National Systema for Youth Guarantee, collaborating in several projects about the development and characterization of new materials for the selective extraction of products of interest, and the analytical study of bioactive compounds in agricultural products and by-products.
